More than 300 pieces: 1787-2018. American-European Mhdb roots   (extract 5 from Mozart had the Blues)     German

... ' The Mhdb Hall of Fame '

American-European Mhdb roots. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of 'Mozart has the blues', 1989-2009, starting from the proto Mhdb band 'Mozart', and when The Esquires met again after 42 years in February 2009, a total of more than three hundred American-, particularly U.S.-European pieces from the 18th century to the present were listed with the help of Youtube and similar portals. These pieces have played a significant role in the history and development of Mhdb. By way of exception, these pieces include operas, symphonies, etc. The Mhdb melodies, chords and rhythms are based on the following American-European influences, inter alia, especially rock and rock-and-roll songs, then soul, hip-hop and reggae songs, as well as jazz songs (above all: modern jazz, important to the origin of the Mhdb chords & changes). But the Mhdb lyrics are often about everyday life in contemporary Germany and increasingly reflect global developmental differences between the global megacities and historical metropolises.

"... Jimi Hendrix (g, voc) & Mhdb drumming. Since Jimi Hendrix (g, voc, ...), more than 300 pieces that have influenced Mhdb have been analyzed for the tripartite division of fast-medium-slow in the Mhdb drumming and Mhdb style. ..." (Wolfgang Billmann, Mozart had the Blues, 2015, password via mozarthatdenblues@gmail.com). This tripartite division is based on Jimi Hendrix's debut hits in 1967 (no. 197-199): "Purple Haze" (~ 8/8 fast), "Hey Joe" (~ 8/8 medium), and "The Wind Cries Mary" (~ 8/8 slow).

Epoch-making songs. Sam & Dave's hit, "Hold On I'm Coming" (no. 184), 1966, made sixteenth strokes on the bass drum very popular, the 'real' 8/8 emerged for the first time and became then the characteristic time or measure of popular music (... and Mhdb, too). This was epoch-making like Sid Catlett (d, around 1940, traditional swing vs. abstract modern jazz) or the nu-metal drummers like Eddy Garcia/The Pissing Razors (no. 319, 322, 327: 1998-2001). These metal drummers played more and more 32nd double bass drum strokes and acted as catalysts for the completion of the 8/8 improvisation level, i.e. where at least 32nd ornaments and / or rolls were virtually created. The trend of slowing down from 4/4 to 8/8 has led up to 16/16, its differentiation into fast-binary / medium-ternary / slow-binary (1999-2017, especially no. 320, 346, 362, 367, 389) and, so far, only to its partial use as a marginal phenomenon. For example : no. 389, AFI, "She Speaks The Language", 2017: "... In the 1st & 3rd strophe: 16/16 slow, 32nd closed hihat accompaniment, mixed 16th/32nd single and 32nd/64th double strokes on single bass drum; other strophes: 8/8 slow ..." (from Mozart had the Blues, 2015, password via mozarthatdenblues@gmail.com).

'Beyond'. Songs (mainly videos) which also have been analysed over and above the following list can be found here: Kassel-Treff 1, 2, Blackberry Smoke songs (its influence on Mhdb, password via mozarthatdenblues@gmail.com). - Since 2017-18 Mhdb have included a focus on:

   >> 'Blackberry Smoke Kassel' : Mhdb favourites (no. 396). Blackberry Smoke's rock classics, soft, fast
   >> Chris Dave songs (no. 397)
   >> Thelonious Monk songs (no. 62)
